Gospel rapper Liwu is set to drop Liwuminati single
Gospel rapper Liwu is set to drop single titled Liwuminati, his manager, Dalitso Mizaya has said.
Mizaya said Liwuminati will be released on August 25.
Explaining what the song Liwuminati is about, Mizaya said “at the end of the day, what we are struggling with is because we live in a fallen world and if we don’t come to terms with the fact that man is a sinner, and sin is a problem, then the problems that will come when this life is over will surpass those we are to face now”.
When asked about the name of the title track, the gospel and its relation to the infamous Illuminati, Liwu said “To clarify, the title is Liwuminati, which comprises the idea of Liwu and illumination”.
“Illumination is bringing light to something”.
“And Liwu is word. Any association to the group mentioned may be just coincidental”. He said.
He added “My concept is using the Word (and my words) to bring light to the world”.
Liwu, who is part of Nyali Musik has been silent for close to 3 years pursuing his master’s degree out of the country.
Recently, he dropped a freestyle titled “Three years” just explaining that.

Who is a Gospel Singer if I may ask? It snot strange these days that everyone who mentions the name God or Jesus in his/her singing to be called Gospel Singer. Whether the mention was done in passing or any other way round, the singer becomes Gospel Singers. I am not against Liwu or whatever his real name is. But I have seen a lot of singers here in Malawi called Gospel Singers/rappers yet their lives do no reflect the real Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. So we need to be careful before we call everyone a Gospel Singer/rapper. By the way, the title “Liwuminati”by Liwu is confusing.
