Green Rangers whip Eagles Reserve in Chipiku league

In the battle for promotion into the Super League, striker James Kasambara hits a brace as Green Rangers beat Blue Eagles Reserve  2-1 in K3.2 Chipiku Central Region Football League Premier division match played at St Johns Primary ground on Sunday .

Kasambara capped a dominant first half visiting team by slotting home from a brilliant Billy Malupiya`s pass. Edison Mapira equalized with a shot connecting Dalitso Moloko`s cross.

Man-of-the match Kasambara hit the woodwork before sealing the victory with a header from  Maxwell Richard`s cross to earn three points.

Edward Amoni  Coach /Player who played first half of the game , was very happy with the win, while his counterpart Audro Makonyola  gave an excuse of poor and muddy pitch which negatively affected their game plan.

“Our opposition played a physical game which disturbed the whole  system of play. We will work hard  in the remaining games to end up on a good position,” said Makonyola.

In other results, Kamuzu Barracks beat MchinjI  boma  stars 3-1  and Adams overtook a 24 hours lead of KB after beating Salima Town Hammers.
