  1. Most of you commenting idiots are more concerned about the phones values than the rape crime. That’s the problem with us Malawians ……. always thinking materially! Shame on you all.

Police when you catch these guys, use shoot to kill, no need for court here.

Pitala meantime enjoying the Waldorf in New York, and poorest country in the world is just left abandoned.

  2. I pray to almighty Allah just to avenge for the innocent lady.may the souls of all women who are living and dead join hands to punish the thieves on the raping incident.as for stealing money i dont CARE.it started at the big house.

ANYWAY THAT IS WHY I HATE TO BE CALLED A ‘ MALAWIAN ‘

  6. Now that security is intensified in cities, towns and peri urban, criminals will opt for potential rural and far places.

  7. @ COLLEAGUE

WHAT IS CONFUSING ABOUT THE ‘ LUMIA ‘ PHONE IN THE SENTENCE ? ARE YOU ALSO ANOTHER. ‘ PHIRI ? VUTO LOPHUNDZILA MUMA CDSS NDILI MENELI
MAYBE KUTI MUNBVETSTSE ACHIMWENE CHE OBVIOUS WITH YOUR COLLEAGUE!!!! AKUTHANDAUDZA KUTI ‘ TWO LAPTOPS PLUS FOUR SMART PHONES PLUS A NOKIA LUMIA , MAY COST MORE THAN A MILLION KWACHA.

  8. I think Mr Obvious’s comment has some sense. I see that the last sentence of the story is not explicit enough as to whether it is the Lumia that is valued at more than K1,000000 or that this value is for all the property. I think the problem is with the writer. My thinking is that the writer should have put “all” just before valued to make it clearer if he wanted to say the more than K1000000 is for all the stolen property.

  9. Obvious Phiri you need to read and understand before commenting. All those valuables stolen amounted to 1 million. This simple English where are you getting this wrong?

  10. MPAKA KULANDIRANA MKAZI

  13. Malawi police come on and switch on! Why should armed robbers terrorise people with impunity? Can you bring these beasts to book. When you catch them, please let’s have their Mbolo and Macende cut off!

  14. @ OBVIOUS PHIRI

IT IS OBVIOUS THAT YOU ARE A VERY DULL PERSON
WHY CANT YOU READ CAREFULLY BEFORE COMMENTING ?
PAMENEPA ANA AKO KUMANENA KUTI TIRI NDI BAMBO ATHU ? IWEYO ?

  15. Obvious Phiri, the article is not about the value of a Lumia phone. If you want the price for Lumia phone ask those in business of selling phones.

    Bwanji kwenikweni?

  16. Obvious Phiri u must read twice they said the property which they took including laptops an four Smat fones including Nokia worth more than a million

  17. Mr Obvious Phiri, read the story thoroughly before commenting. My understanding is that the Lumia phone is part of the properties stolen apart from cash which already has value. So unless you’ve another question on the amount of properties, you can come again otherwise, am sure you’ve understood.

  18. Nokia Lumia phone valued at over a million?

Anyway, whatever the case, this is very bad news especially coming just before the LoS.
