Gwamba, Fredokiss, Ethel Kamwendo, Joseph Tembo had great performance at Malawi youth symposium

Musicians Gwamba and Fredokiss shared the stage and stole the show at a Christian youth business symposium in Blantyre on Saturday.

Gwamba: Give good show

The two collaborated, first for both, on Gwamba’s hit song Better, to a great surprise of the audience. Fredokiss appeared midway Better’s performance with lyrics from his hit single Changes which talks about the plight of youths in Malawi.

Performing with a live band and a choir, Gwamba—with smooth-voiced Emm Q on the chorus—only performed two songs.

As usual, the award winning gospel rapper put up his usual energy to a jam-packed, youthful audience at Robins Park that had come for a Christian Youth Business Symposium.

The symposium was organised by Christian Youth Association of Malawi (Cyama) and South Africa-based Prophet Shepherd Bushiri was the guest of honour.

In an interview after the performance, Gwamba said it was a great event and when invited to perform, he did not hesitate because he is a Christian who is also into business.

“We thought of giving people a little surprise. That is why we had Fredokiss do a verse on Better,” he said.

Gwamba waxed lyrical of Fredokiss as one of the rappers he respect and also a great friend.

Besides Gwamba, gospel songbird Ethel Kamwendo also dished out her best supported by Joseph Tembo’s Groove Magic Band
