Gwamba ready to launch ‘Mama said God first’  album in Lilongwe

Malawi’s multiple award winning gospel artist Gwamba will be launching his second gospel album this  Saturday at Golf Club in Lilongwe.

Gwamba: Mama said God first

The show has received great hype from the public who are particularly happy with its pricing of K500 before 12 and K1000 thereafter.

“We just wanted to make the show for everyone especially young people in search of the gospel but find it hard to afford expensive gospel shows which usually happen in Lilongwe. Am hopeful that more people will come and enjoy what we will offer,” Gwamba told Nyasa Times.

The show also features a number of both local and international acts including Onesimus, Praise Peterson, Nimmix, Lawi, Fredokiss, Kell Kay and many others.

While on the road to the launch, Gwamba released two music videos, 48 Bars and Akondakitale featuring Lawi.

“The response has been good and the videos are being featured daily on local international TV channels. We also made them available on all our online platforms. Am hoping to shoot the remaining videos soon after the launch, of course those are 2020 projects,” said Gwamba, real name Duncan Zgambo.

According to the event organisers, Friday launch will also give platform to upcoming gospel musicians to showcase their talent.

Gwamba continues to bring out maturity in his music since his debut gospel album, Jesus Is My Boss in 2016.

He has made hits and after hits and continues to be one of the top and influential musicians in Malawi.
