Head teacher sexually assault 14-year-old pupil in Mangochi
Chilipa Police Unit in Mangochi is keeping in custody a head teacher of Kapire Primary School for being suspected of defiling a 14-year-old girl (name concealed) who was in standard seven at the school in the district.
Mangochi police publicist Rodrick Maida confirmed the arrest and identified the suspect as Gnazio Goliati of 55 years of age.
According to Maida the suspect was on 17th October 2014 while his wife had left the house, asked the girl (victim) to go to his house and prepare him lunch and this gave him an advantage to defile her.
“It seems Goliati used force to defile the child to slake his libido because the victim’s under wear (pant and peat coat) were torn apart,” said the police publicist.
“After this happened, the girl did not disclose the ordeal to anyone until she was quizzed by her parents when they noticed that she was pregnant,” he disclosed.
The district’s police spokesperson further added that rumours speculated like bush within the girl’s compound and these force members of the general public to tip Chilipa Police on the same which led to the arrest of the culprit on March 13th2015.
The head teacher will appear in court soon where he will answer an offence defilement which is contrary to section 139 of the Penal Code.
Goliati hails from Mbedza Village in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Nazombe in Phalombe .
