In the name of Jesus
The name Jesus means “Savior” because He saves us from our sins. We are saved from the guilt of sin by what a sinless man did, dying on the cross to cleanse us from the guilt of sin. Paul said in Romans 6:4 that we are therefore buried with Him by baptism into death.
Not only did we die with Him, but we were buried with him as well, which means that all the sin and transgression of the past were buried; when they put him in the tomb, they put all our sins into that tomb as well: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the father, even so we also should walk in newness of life, meaning that His resurrection was our resurrection to newness of life from the moment we said yes to Jesus.
The bible tells us in John 14:13 that; “whatsoever you shall ask in my Name that will I do”. As Christians we are given the power to use the Name of Jesus regardless of the type of situation we are facing. “At the Name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth” (Philippians 2:10).
Acts 3 talks about Peter healing a lame man from his mother’s womb that sat at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple to ask alms of them who entered into the Temple. We see that peter spoke with authority; “In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk”. The bible tells us that immediately, his feet and ankle bones received strength. Peter showed his strong consciousness that the secret of their authority was not in magic, but in their communion with Jesus. “Why do you marvel at this? Or why look you as so earnestly on us, as though by our power we have made this man to walk? …the God of our fathers has glorified His son Jesus.” This is only valid in relationship to the son of Man; the name that breaks the power of demons and that reconciles us to God was given to the apostles, the crippled man and all of us.
When Jesus had sent the Seventy, they returned again with joy, saying Lord, “Even the devils are subject unto us through Your Name”. It is good to know that only one Name subjects a demon to tremble, drive out evil spirits, and heal every disease and sickness; that is the Name of Jesus if spoken by faith. The power that was given to them was not a magical power, but an ability that requires the foundation of faith in Jesus Christ and what He has already done for us on the cross of Calvary.
It is therefore very important as children of God to be in communion with Christ and through His Name, we will see great and mighty things as we realize that every one of us has this power, it was not selected to few individuals because Jesus died for all of us.

Oh what a serious and controversial topic! We have been deeply programmed by religious beliefs. These beliefs have become part of ourselves. We identify ourselves with these beliefs. All beliefs are the making of Human Mind; that is why religions have different beliefs or doctrines. All sacred books, including the Bible, are full of allegories that need ESOTERIC knowledge to understand the intended meaning of scriptures. If only you had prayed in the name of God, the God who created Jesus, the God whom Jesus prayed to when he taught you how to pray in the Lord’s Prayer , then salvation would surely be yours. Instead you have invented this praying “in the name of Jesus”. May God guide you all.
