Information Minister Ndau fired, spy chief Dausi appointed govt spokesman: Mutharika makes major changes in Malawi govt
President Peter Mutharika has fired Malison Ndau from cabinet and relieved him of his duties as Minister of Information, Communication and Technology, State House has announced.
The President has replaced Ndau with state spy chief Nicholous Dausi who has moved as Director of notorious National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) to become official government spokeman.
Although the statement issued by presidential spokesman Mgeme Kalilani gave no reasons for the dismissal of the minister, unnamed sources in government said his removal is part of the government reognisation and that many heads will roll.
Government sources told the Nyasa Times that other high-ranking public officials could be fired in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, State House announced that Justice Lloyd Muhara has been appointed chief Secretary to the Government replacing George Mkondiwa who is being “redeployed” to India as High Commissioner.
Mkondiwa will replace Dr. Issac Munlo who returns to Malawi as Chief Director in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Corporation, according to the statement.

Congratulations Hon Dausi. Wishing you all the best.
Remember us the ordinary Malawians. You know the issues we face every day.
The APM has the prerogative to fire or hire anyone.Leave Him alone.
Koma abale malison what ever you call him walakwa chani. Sindikuona chabwino Ku tsogoloku masanje ndiomwe achuluka. Ndichifkwa chake tili paumphawi kwambiri mmodzi amene anasankhidwa with a small margin of voters thinks he can twist people any how.
Ndau has paid for Hiwagate. Remember Malisoni was Minister of Transport and Public Works before he became Gvts spokesperson. When Hiwas’ saga arose, he wrote to his Minister (homeboy from Ntcheu) trying to clarify and justify his dealings which the poor Rev. must have bought because the issue somehow stalled before it came back into the limelight. Times have caught up with his stupidity!
Leave APM alone. What benefit will you gain by castigating our Leader.Repent before 2017.He has powers to fire and hire.Period!
