Ka Sir Blanca set to release an EP in June
Urban dancehall artist Ka Sir Blanca will on 5 June release an Extended Play (EP) which is set to bring a different taste of vibes in Malawian dancehall music.
An EP is a collection of an artist’s old and new music put together in a single disc. The EP is a departure from the conventional approach of an album which usually contains only new songs.
Speaking in an interview with the Malawi News Agency (Mana), Ka Sir Blanca (real name Musher Chirwa) said the EP has a collection of some of his old best songs and new ones making the total to 16.
Most of the songs cover issues involving the youths and society in general.
“I want to put Malawi on the map and change lives of youths and society through my songs,” said Chirwa, who is also a member of Archaida Universe music group.
He added that the EP contains hot motivational songs which include; My life, Worry about none, See dem and Who knew just to mention some.
“My songs address real day-to-day life issues and the EP will bring something new to the people,” he said.
According to him, the extended play is being recorded at Citylights Entertainment by Kauden (real name Fred Kasambala) in Lilongwe.
Ka Sir Blanca said he is working very hard with Kauden to produce an EP of high quality so that the music industry should appreciate this new approach.
“I am working on both ends with my producer to bring out different vibes and change the music industry,” said the dancehall star of the hit song Worry about none.
