Kabwila in road accident: Shocked!

Opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Publicity Secretary, Jessie Kabwila on Friday survived a road accident that left her in shock.

National police have confirmed of the accident, which occurred near Dowa turn-off along Lilongwe-Kasungu road.

“There were no casualties. It occurred yesterday (Friday),” explained Rhoda Manjolo National police
spokesperson.

The outspoken Salima North-West Parliamentarian met her fate at Mtengo wa Nthenga near Dowa turn-off as she was coming from a funeral in Mabulabo, Mzimba.

Kabwila was hit by a vehicle owned by Anderson Engineering as she tried to avoid a truck that had suddenly stopped in the middle of the road.

The Anderson Engineering vehicle hit Kabwila’s vehicle from behind and she rammed into the big truck.

The big truck is said to have sped away in high speed leaving  Kabwila’s vehicle and Anderson extensively damaged.

Two weeks ago another MCP executive official who is also the Speaker of Malawi National Assembly, Richard Msowoya was involved in an accident at Chisephere turn-off along the M1 road in Kasungu district.

Msowoya who escaped with bruises, killed a cyclist but was later cleared by police of any wrong doing.

  1. Still this story begs the questions; it’s strange for a stopped truck, a thing that has several gears, just to speed off at a higher speed, was the truck pulling the trailer? If so, was the trailer empty? For those who know trucks it is hard to believe that it can just start speeding off at a higher speed from motionless, unless may be it is a new generation. According to the story the truck was the one ahead of Kabwila and I wonder how long had they been in a cat and mouse race before she slammed on and where exactly did she hit it? It is easy to buy PP and MCP supporters claims that it is a plot had it been that the truck had been trailing Kabwila not the other way round unless one has a hidden agenda against his/her political foe in order to buy public sympathy as this has been the trend of PP and the political CSOs. They seem to be experts in this; they come up with a million claims, them being tortured even though they lack substance in their claims. They even fail to prove them when their time comes. After failing the polls they tried their luck by chipping in their baseless claims of DPP rigging and managed to delay the result for almost 10 days. All what can be concluded is that these guys find means to weaken DPP by continuously creating fictions against its leadership so to get lid of them in order to face the weaklings in an election. As you can see the very same tactics were deployed to finish Great Bingu and even Kamuzu just because they were great people and for someone to face them in an election without proper timing of muddling their personalities with criminality was not easy, hence all the stories against them: he murdered Chasowa, ooh no look here he has drained all the gas for our cars- deep down knowing very well that they themselves have created it. Who flew to the Hegue requesting easily warped donors to stop aiding Malawi on bad human rights records? The betrayers, our own CSOs, with the purpose of fighting Bingu to be seen as a failed guy with all taps closed for him. With Bingu dead and JB sworn in MCP and other parties were in high spirits and euphoric. With Laza coming in as their torch bearer with clean record MCP believed it was their turn, but oops they underestimated DPP and the verdict to be passed then by Malawians in the polling chambers. To be honest Bingu did development which was only short shadowed by his crazed critics who were/are blood thirsty and ready to kill, harass and torture anyone deemed to be critical to Bingu, Peter and DPP to shoulder them tactically the evil acts. All they want is to get lid of APM as Saulos will be easy to tackle come campaign as they believe he lacks political muscle. Take it or not if these current tactics won’t work for them they will change into another gear of creating death for APM as they are evil, born form evil, have evil hearts and don’t wish our country well, but only their families and friends. What they want is power not the development they are always failing to see, but to plunder everything their hands could reach. JB created hunger in the years of plenty and distributed all the maize from our silos. This is a mock to God who blessed us. Look now, this year we had heavy floods that affected our harvest and we are facing looming hunger and yet JB squandered all the maize in the years of plenty. DPP is back to clean the mess and these marauders are back on its neck to have it paralyzed. Have you ever heard of General Mankeni Chigawa who was short in a cold blood at Tchingeni and one of the attackers vanished into thin air just across the boarder into Mozambique? The criminal was arrested in Thyolo and died mysteriously while in the Police van. They claimed he plunged from the car into his death which is very suspicious than this lie. A certain corrupt BT magistrate met his fate while jogging with Chancy Gondwe in early hours of another day along Zalewa road at Chirimba. A black saloon with tinted glasses and no number plate suddenly drove directly on him and placed him to the earthly wall along the road. It then reversed and sped away. This one also looks to be a plotted one not this fiction. To be an opposition top figure doesn’t mean you are immortal, NO!! Stop mocking our Holy God with these silly political dramas written in a Hollywood style.

  20. Are the police taking steps to trace the lorry? This appears to be a very suspicious ‘accident’. Let’s hope Nyasa Times follows up this story. So often suspicious incidents are reported on this site, but rarely followed up. An important role of the media is to dig into and follow up stories to their conclusion, not just report the breaking story.

Chasowa was murdered by PP and the CSOs who tricked the Police by imitating Dzamalala giving force postmortem results and ended up in entangling themselves? If Chasowa was murdered by DPP the culprits would have been brought to justice in your 2 years rule and it was God’s plan to reveal your evil plots. All parties that use these tricks are useless as they have empty manifestos and they lack gats to think of development plans, all they think is Malawians can easily get tricked by these fictions so that they can rule through the back door.   45. Something indeed might have been arranged here. How could a truck speed away from the scene after being hit behind. Really something went wrong. Should we say the police failed to recognise the truck? This accident however reminds me of the one which involved Joyce Banda’s official VP car at kanengo fortunate that she knew the trap before time and used another car.   48. What things lead to a hit and run scenario? Few of them are; afraid of mob justice, afraid of Police if not a qualified driver, if the driver involved has got smuggled goods and feel unsafe to remain on the accident scene, if the driver had his own mission apart from his/her boss’ and happened to go to a route not assigned to, if the vehicle is not road worthy etc. I hope Kabwila’s vehicle had rights if the accident occured at night, why not picked the truck’s registration number? Who knows may be these opposition guys have started their tricks of self inflictions in order to throw the blame on DPP? May be MCP and Kabwila planned this and advised the driver to sped away as quick as possible soon after he/she undertook the assignment as they are experts in this game- chifukwatu anthuwa mzeru zawathera and they are in with new antiques to lure our support. Who else knows may be it is Ken Msonda who is bewitching his fellow opposition mapwefupwefus to have his prophesy of doom fulfilled; someone has written that Msonda once warned about this. May be MCP is also afraid of its own shadows as it used to carry out assassinations of opposing views and they think DPP is deploying the same to them which its credibility is in great doubt.   67. A truck stopped abruptly and Kabwila hits the truck and the truck sped away leaving the two other vehicles at the scene. The interpretation is simple here, the truck was sent by the regime elite to assassinate Kabwila hence the running away because there was no reason as to why the truck driver ran away while the third driver did not. Should be wrong to assume that it was the work of the ruling party? Someone is comparing this to South African accidents to ours do you really know what you are talking about? Did you ever witness any accident here in South Africa? Here in South Africa you don’t hit and run even if there are 10 cars involved in one accident none of them leaves the accident scene until the metro police come to take statements and pictures of involved cars’ positions if necessary. You only speed away to police station in south Africa if you hit a pedestrian to death because if you remain at the scene angry residents will sentence you to death at the same time without hearing your story but in this case the truck driver thought Kabwila was no more thus why he ran away believing that he had accomplished the mission he was tasked with.
