Kamwendo:Set to sign the dotted lines

Speaking with MIJ FM sports broadcaster Williams Gondwa, the player who until last year was plying his trade at South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfit Orlando Pirates, clarified about how he got to Thailand when it was reported to have gone to Turkey.

“Yeah I know that some people might have reported that I went to Turkey it’s because of my flight connections which I had to make. I had to pass through Turkey and Vietnam so that I could get my visa,” he told the radio.

“But all in all when I was departing from home I knew that I was coming here [Thailand] and   for the past two weeks everything has been going on well,” he said.

Kamwendo rejoined his former local club Mighty Wanderers upon return from South Africa and  named Malawi’s TNM Super League player of the month for December, is optimistic he will seal the deal with the Saruburi based outfit in the next few days.

“If all goes according to plan, I think the deal will get completed by the end of this week because I have done everything which they told me to do and the team has also shown their interest to sign me. What remains is for my agent to come and finalize everything,”said the natural left-footer.

And according to the clubs website, Osotspa FC is placed fifth in the Thai Premier League and won Kor Roy cup in 2002 and 2007.
