Karonga man kills wife suspected of cheating

Malawi  Police are hunting for a 34 year old Award Kayila from Karonga who is suspected to have  murdered his wife after disagreements on where the woman spend a night of 31 December 2014 suspecting her of having love affairs with other men .

Karonga Police Station Officer Almakio Daka said Kayila of Mwadenga village, Traditional Authority Mwakaboko in Karonga is being suspected of killing his wife Bet Banda of Bozo village, Traditional Authority M’zikawola in Mzimba.

According to Daka, the man suspected his wife of cheating.

He said despite the woman explaining her whereabouts, the husband did not but her story and assaulted the wife severely.

“After seeing that the woman was unconscious the man escaped from the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital by passersby   where the health personnel confirmed her dead,” Daka explained.

The district hospital reports indicated that the woman died due to internal bleeding.

  9. Most Lhomwes are illiterate. They consider everyone from the north as Tumbuka. They do not know that there are Ngondes, Ngonis, Lambyas, Tongas etc. That’s we have many Lhomwes in our tobacco estates and chikangawa forest kufotokoza macheka as they say. Kkkkk

  34. Whatever the reasons would be there regarding the suspicion of cheating, that does not warrant the killing of a human being.
    Much as the same is not permissible, but the punishment given to her has been quite severe loss of life! Too bad!
    On the other hand, should we say the has never cheated to her since their marriage ie going out with another woman other than her wife?

  36. The solution for a cheating wife is to part ways and look for an honest than laying your heavy hands on her. what has jealousy husband benefitted from killing somebody daughter? Sad indeed.

Hence, We Malawians, should refrain from bad behaviour, Immoral behaviour, and consiterate, on, of, more important issues. Hense, we Malawians, should, know that, Our Heavenly Father, Does not, allow any violence,
