The President said throughout his life, Prophet Muhammad preached about love and unity and ask Malawians to emulate the life of the Holy prophet and start loving one another.

“I am very glad to be here today to celebrate with Muslim brothers on the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

“My message to Malawians is that lets forget the past and start the New Year 2015 with full of love towards     one another,” Mutharika explained.

He also emphasized the need for Malawians to stop hatred, conflicts and violence against one another.

Manzoor Bheda, Chair Board of Trustees Lilongwe Sunni Foundation, said the parade was one of the many activities organized to celebrate the birth of Muhammad.

Bheda explained during the day, Muslims would apart from celebrating Muhammad’s birth also be praying for good rains for this year.

“There will be a lot of things happening but the paramount of all would be sharing of food with the poor and praying for good rains,” Bheda said.

He appealed to Muslims in the country to keep up their faith and continue to love one another.

“I would like to commend the President for having attended the parade and the message to fellow Muslims across the country is that lets keep up with our faith and continue to love one another,” the Board Chair explained.

Every year   just as Christian, Muslims celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad. However the ceremony keeps on changing every year depending on the changes on the Muslim calendar.

You should refrain from such ludcris comments bcs when ppl will reply to them you wont like. You are correct when you say that you dont see revrends and nuns in rellyes like this but you see nuns having affairs with preiests and you will see revrends and bishops abusing little boys in church. Let us not go there. Islam protects and offer modesty to women and teach humanity’ love and equality to all. So next time u think of making stupid comments think abt it beforehand.

Magulumale, nawenso ndi mbutuma kapena mbuzi ya mano kunsi. Who told you that Prophet Muhammad had 13 wives? which book or where did you get this malicious information? If Jesus was impotent is that an issue? Read books and you will learn about the prophet who had close to a hundred wives (Davide). To God being impotent or having more wives is not an issue. What matters to Him is righteousness. Iwe ulipo unakwatila ndipo umachindanso akazi ena, bwanji osakatenetsa kuti ukhale impotent ngati Jesus. Please spare God’s chosen prophets.
