The victory pushed Mbeya City Council FC to back to position after Simba’s brought the back.

But the winning return was diluted by a 2-0 shocking loss to bottom of the table team African Sport on Monday which denied the Malawian coach an opportunity to move to position seven.

After succumbing to a 2-0 loss to Simba, Kinnah downplayed the result saying his charges dictated the flow of the game but gave away two goals in the second half.

The former down to earth Malawi national football team and reigning Malawi top league champions Nyasa Bullets penned a two year contract at Mbeya.

He guided Mzuzu University FC to a dramatic relegation battle survival follow his sacking at South Africa top league team Free State Stars where he is held in high esteem.
