Let God be in your boat in 2017

Things happen in life that will make children of God feel helpless, and lonely. I would like to encourage those that are hurting that you are not alone if only you can just allow Jesus get in your boat. Our God watches over us constantly and forever, He never sleeps or slumber (Psalms 121: 4).

When things are not good, you can be surrounded by people who sympathize with you but still they will not stay with you forever, neither will they take the pain or problem away from you.

Of course they will encourage you, which will bring a temporary relief to the situation at hand. It is only God who is able to comfort, give peace, and take away the problem completely only if you allow Him to do so.

In the bible, there is a story of the shunamite woman whose only son died. The Bible says that when the son died, she did not tell anyone or even her husband that their son was no more. I. I would assume that if she did that, people would have started making arrangements for the funeral.

She chose to go after the man of God who had prophesied to her the birth of this only son. The woman evidently reasoned that if the Lord gave her the child, the child could also be raised from the dead by God through Elisha.

Who are you telling your situations or problems? Are you sharing your problems with people that will just help you prepare a funeral? Look to the one that will stop a funeral from taking place because that dead situation will be brought to life again.

II Kings 4:33 says that Elisha shut the door upon them twain and prayed unto the Lord. This means that he knew that it was not about having people around, but asking the giver of life to bring back the life of the child which God honored.

It is the same with situations that come along in our daily lives. We need to learn start taking all situations to God, not men that will not be able to sort the problem but make the situation look helpless.

The Bible tells us in Psalms 55:22 to cast our burdens upon the Lord, and He shall sustain you: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Mathew 14 from verse 22 talks about a time the Disciples were in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves. Jesus was not in the boat at that particular time. This just tells us that if we take Jesus out of our situations there will be difficult times, that we cannot be able to fix on our own.

We see that when Jesus got into the ship, the wind ceased immediately. It is the same in the lives of believers too. If we let God be in our ships, He will take care of all situations that are troubling us.

It does not matter how long you have suffered, if only you can let Him take over, just like He did when He got in that boat.

It is important to focus only on Jesus. If you waver, things may not change at ll. God knows our hearts and knows those that believe in Him, therefore let Him take over all our situations.
