Lilongwe City Council staff chase director out of office, deflate his car tyres
Armed police were called in to bring peace at Lilongwe City Council offices in the Capital after staff literally chased one of the directors from his office and deflated his car tyres.
Director of Engineering Julius Tsogolani was escorted by police from the office to his home and abandoned his car at the office as the irate workers had deflated its tyres.
The staff went on rampage and abandoned their work to force Tsogolani and director of Finance Jeremiah Sibande out of the council.
Sibande did not report for duties on Monday when the incident happened.
The staff said they will continue with the strike until the council fires Tsogolani and Sibande whom they accuse of gross maladministration and mismanagement saying they do not have the welfare of other workers especially junior staff at heart.
The two deny the allegations.

This is Malawi where wosesa, alayila and chimpopa manyi have powers to force the directors out of the office but we fail big time to force failing leaders in politics, religion and villages. I wish Malawi had strength of these chimpopa manyi crew as we could have achieved a lot.
It xplns junior staff were denied motivating factors thats too bad..,wake up malawians stand up and fight postively. However junior staffs dont be masked by selfish staffs otherwise you may dance ur own tunes thereafter.
