Lucius, Lulu to hold shows in South Africa

Malawi’s music icon Lucius Banda, fondly known as ‘Soldier’, will next month tour the Republic of South Africa (RSA) where he is expected to hold live shows.

The award-winning musician, who is currently selling his latest album titled ‘Life’, will be accompanied by his Zembani Band and Lilongwe-based multitalented singer Lulu.

Soldier and Lulu will have two performances in the rainbow country and their first show will be on Friday 2nd December in Johannesburg at Turffontein School Hall.

“On Saturday, 3rd December they will be at Scallas Cafe, in Durban,” Kingsley Kakhobwe, who is one of the organizers told Nyasa Times.

He said tickets are available for the Johannesburg show at R80.00 per head.

“Limited number of tickets are available and patrons are advised to buy in advance,” he said.

“Once the allocated tickets are sold out, no tickets will be sold at the door”, says Kakhobwe.

Meanwhile, the reputable Malawi singer has promised to take most of the best selling Malawian artists’ CDs and DVDs to sell in RSA including his newly launched 16th album.

This will be Lucius’ second time to have performances in RSA this year following his previous tour few months ago, just before releasing ‘Life’.
