Luso TV to handover prize to FAM:  ‘Bus Ipite Soccer Bonanza’ 

Luso Television Company through its Manager Dick Juma has announced that they will hand over the grand prize for the much anticipated ‘Luso TV Bus Ipite Bonanza’ to Football Association of Malawi (FAM) on Thursday at the Mpira Village in Blantyre.

Old age rivals  Big Bullets and Be Forward Wanderers will battle for a 26-seater Nissan Civilian bus in a two-legged encounter. The first match is expected on December 26 at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre with the second match on January 2 2017.

Juma told a local radio that preparations are at an advanced stage.

“As Luso Television, once we organize something we go by our words and the first leg match is on this coming Monday 26th December at the Kamuzu Stadium,” Juma said.

To ensure there is stiff competition among the two participating teams, the organizers have revealed that there will be nothing the losers will take home as compesation apart from the K2 Million appearance fee.

He also revealed that they will take care of all the costs including meals, transport and accomodation for both teams in Lilongwe.

“We will provide both of them with meals, 1000 bottles of water plus transport and accommodation.” he said.

Both teams will also not pocket any share from gate collections.

According to the organizers, the tournament will cost them over K40 Million.

The Manager further said there objective is to uplift the standard of football in the country and promised alot more big things next year.

Other companies have also joined Luso in the organization and more details will be revealed at a press briefing to be held at Mpira Village on Thursday.

Among other things, soccer lovers stand a chance of winning a car worth about K1.8 Million through aLuso TV competition.

People will be asked to deposit K2,000 cash into Luso Awards Airtel Money Account and at the end, there will be a draw to select the winner.

Luso Television organized another bonanza in 2013 which was won by Nyasa Big Bullets.

It involved four teams namely Epac, Silver Strikers, Mighty Be Forward Wanderers and Bullets itself.
