Madeira back at Wanderers, appointed manager to replace fired Munde
Mighty Be Forward Wanderers have fired team manager Kannock Munde and his deputy Thom Milanzi and replaced them with former Azam Tigers team manager Stevie Madeira and Chiyembekezo Zidana.
Madeira, a blue fun at heart, joined Tigers after he failed to get elected at Wanderers AGM.
He has been persuaded to return to Lali Lubani Road and handpicked by his close friend , George Chamangwa – club chairman – for the team manager role.
Nomads general secretary Mike Butao confirmed Madeira and Zidana are the new team managers.
The two were introduced to the players last week.
Madeira said he was happy to be back at Wanderers: “ As the saying goes, once a Nomad, always a Nomad.”
Meanwhile, Munde said Wanderers owe him and Milanzie “ a lot of money backdated to last season.”
He said they have been sacked because they e suggested that “before we start a new chapter under Be Forward sponsorship, they should settle our dues and the next thing we heard were the changes.”
Munde, a Wanderers legend, has threatened legal recourse if the blues fail to pay them their dues.
