Malawi 2019 Tripartite Elections preps on course – Commission
Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has emphasised that the preparations for the 2019 Tripartite Elections are on course despite delays to roll out some electoral calander activities during their stated period.
MEC director if media and public relations Sangwani Mwafulirwa said “all stakeholders should be assured if the highest committment by the Commission to deliver a credible elections.”
There have been concerns by some electoral stakeholders, including opposition parties over the delay to implement planned activities a plot to rig the 2019 polls for the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
But the electoral body issued earlier this year was subject to review depending on prevailing circumstances.
