Malawi national team, the Flames, played a one-all draw against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars   in a FIFA friendly match played at Uhuru Stadium on Saturday in Dar es Salaam.

Tanzania, Malawi share the spoils

The Flames were the  first to score through South Africa’s Platnum Stars midfield dynamo, Robert Ng’ambi, on the stroke of 35 minutes of the half-time, as his blockbuster strike flew past Taifa Stars goalkeeper, according to a report in Anzania Post.

However, Tanzania international Simon Msuva who plays in Moroccan League equalised after 58 minutes, with the hosts battling their way back into the contest in the second half, it reported.

It was reported that after the match, football lovers were complaining on Referee Israel Mkongo who failed to control the ‘pressure’ of the clash after providing two red cards for Taifa Stars players, Erasto Nyoni in 85 minutes of the play and Mzamiru Yassin.
