Malawian couple – The Duo – which received unanimous thumbs down by the four judges on UK’s popular television singing talent show, have been lined up to perform in this weekend’s Wembley grand final, in London.
The X Factor auditionees Goodson Saiwala, 36, and wife Charity, 33, confirmed to Nyasa Times that they will perform live and have been rehearsing.
“Yes we are going to be performing live on stage at X factor finals with fellow auditonees at Wembley on Saturday and we are in London for rehearsal,” Goodson told Nyasa Times.
The Malawian couple will grace the stage which will also have Coldplay, Westlife and Leona Lewis among the guest acts performing during the final, to be broadcast live on UK’s ITV from Wembley Arena .
The Duo failed to book their slot for bootcamp when the judges rejected their tuneless performance during the auditions with their appalling rendition of Beyonce’s If I Were A Boy.
But the pair – which compared their act to Beyonce and Jay-Z –plans X-Factor return in 2012 edition.Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
