Malawi hottest MC Suffix signs content distribution deal with MTN Zambia

MTV Base crowned Malawi’s hottest MC of the year 2016, Suffix, has signed a content distribution deal with Zambia’s biggest mobile network, MTN.

Suffix

The deal brokered by Zambian Zilile Ngoma, will see Suffix monetizing his music via caller ringback tones (CRBT) on the network.

The deal also covers the distribution of Suffix’s content to music outlets like iTunes, Cdbaby and Amazon.

Ngoma said: “This deal will allow Suffix to have as much coverage in Zambia in terms of radio and TV airplay”.

Ngoma is a content distributer for popular roster of artists such as JK, T Sean, B Flow, Dope G of Zone Fam, Mic Burner, and OC.

Commenting on the content distribution deal, Bob Phondo, manager for Suffix said “We’re excited about this new arrangement because not only will it expand Suffix’s reach and brand, we’re also looking at the many opportunities it will present.

“It’s a new venture, so the sky is the limit. And the good thing is that both the artists we have under Letswai; Suffix and KBG, have a big fan base in Zambia, and both of them will have this deal.”

Currently Suffix is engaged in pushing for girls rights with Care4Girls campaign and has since released a song with Kelvin Sings.

Phondo explained “it’s focused on the challenges that girl children face in the pursuit of quality education, this song shines a light on the neglected socio-economic and cultural challenges affecting the girl child’s education.

“Rather interestingly, the song also points out the fact that these challenges that girl children face come from all levels starting from the family, society to the national level”.

Suffix collaborated with Maestros Leadership team in this campaign theme song that was produced by Dr Manje.
