When thePolice questioned the four, they started running away prompting the officers to shoot in the air and that a stray bullet hit one of them.
“What happened is that patrol officers saw four men who were looking suspicious wandering about near Avis Car Rental premises,” Mayawo said,.
He said Police have been receiving reports of criminal cases from Makata Industrial Area and police officers are being deployed to patrol the area.

jUST THINKING ALOUD – STRAY WHICH ARE NOT MISSING MEN – TARGET NDE IKUMAKHALA CHANI? POLICE YA KU MALAWI AKOUMBERA MUNTHU ITS BECAUSE THEY HAVE MISSED THE TARGET OTHERWISE THE DAY THEY WILL STRIKE THE TARGET THEY WILL MISS THE MOST WANTED MAN.
I like your thought . . .
. . . funny and interesting.
. . . and indeed, the thinking was loud.
Truth is, they neither shot in the air nor was the bullet, stray. They targeted and shot the person.
Since they know, you just cant go around shooting people merely for looking suspicious, the police had to come up with an alibi and perhaps a lie that he was found with a pistol for us to ignore their clumsy and unprofessional conduct.
Hunt for the remaining three otherwise its a job well done.
Congrats Malawi Police, thats a job well done!!!
