Situated in the suburbs of Namiwawa in Blantyre, HS Winehouse is proving to be the most decent and cool place for high class individuals to relax.

HS Winehouse Managing Director Rachel Mijiga said they decided to organize the wine & cheese party as a thank you to their customers and for the new found friendships that the place has created amongst customers.

“We opened our doors on July 13, 2014 and ever since, HS Winehouse has provided a platform of networking and we thought we should say thank you to our customers and also wish them the best during this festive season and New Year,” said Mijiga.

“I am sure you will agree that this is place is good for ‘chilaxing’ after a day’s hard work and that is why we don’t play loud music, we want people to feel at home, away from their home,” added Mijiga.

She said HS Winehouse can also hold corporate events.

Toasting to the event, one of the regulars of the place and prominent lawyer in Blantyre John-Gift Mwakhwawa thanked Rachel and Wilkins Mijiga for providing a platform for people to establish friendships.

“What’s more to toast than the friendships we have managed to establish since the opening of this place? I did not know and understand some people but through HS Winehouse I am able to understand and know some people and the truth can be said of them about me,” said Mwakhwawa.

He sent patrons in stitches when he hailed HS Winehouse for providing free wine and cheese.

“We have been provided with free wine and cheese which is soft and nice so that we should have nice dreams after taking these. Please just for today, leave the hard stuff you take for the free wine and cheese, otherwise you will dream of lions chasing you if stick with the hard stuff you always take, take some wine and cheese tonight!” said Mwakhwawa.

HS Winehouse has come up with a Christmas and New Year programme which includes soft jazz music, braii and other goodies.

Well is this one of the offsprings of Steve Mijiga who was once postmaster general. I know he fathered over thirty children.

I am proud of you guys. You deserve as much happiness in this as God has bestowed on your family.I hope achina Luka,Collins, ndekha,Alina,Esther,Chapelemba,Patrick, chifundo, golden etc can buy a leaf from your truly inspiring story of hard work and success. All the above mentioned know how far you have had to come.I was inspired by both of you even though we had our differences, but truly and amazingly an inspirational story.Even though it does sound ( and perhaps it is…) bourgeoisie!! Pardon my cheeky comment. All the best.
