Malawi Principal Secretaries reshuffle at Capital Hill
There has been a reorganization of Principal Secretaries at Capital Hill aimed at strengthening performance in a number of ministries.
Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Patrick Kabambe has been moved to Ministry of Education as PS for Higher Education. Kabambe has replaced Lonely Magaleta at Education who is now PS (2) in the Ministry of Defence.
The changes have also seen Accountant General Dorothy Banda relocated to head Ministry of Agriculture and she is replaced by Davie Kandoje.
Erica Maganga is now at the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Development as PS 2 from OPC.
PS for Ministry of Tourism Fletcher Zengeneya has been moved to Disabilities replacing George Nkondiwa and Triza Senzani has replaced Zenengeya at the Ministry of Tourism.
Patrick Manda who was responsible for finance at OPC moved to government contracts units. A Mr Njanji is now responsible for finance at OPC.
Principal Secretary in the Office of President (OPC) Chinthu Phiri confirmed the reshuffle, saying it is part of restructuring to relocate people where they would be most effective.
