Malawi Queens lose to New Zealand in Fast5 netball opener
Malawi Queens lost to world netball champions New Zealand’s 26- 49 in the opening match at the Fast5 world series netball tournament on Saturday.
New Zealand led 9-5 after the first quarter and 19-13 at halftime before piling on 24 points in their third-quarter power play to seal the win.
Australia opened their Fast5 netball world series campaign with a comprehensive 33-13 win over Jamaica.
England were equally dominant in accounting for South Africa 44-22. They won their last-quarter power play 24-6 after leading 13-4 at halftime and 20-16 at the three-quarter mark.

Malawi has never beaten newzealand even in the presence of our stars,it is only south africa and sometimes jamaica which we mostly beat.that is why we have been #5 in the world since the times of mary waya.they are so tall and sharp.
The first mistake you made was to change coaches, Griffin Sayenda was a good coach for our girls and he has always been in good touch with his players but you had create chinyau that he is a man and girls are not comfortable with him yet he has been always there with our girls. Then you manuvoured to have a lady coach who is just full of herself and grudges and not even listening to complains from her own players, look now on what is happening, trust you me or not our team will be the last one at this tournament. Atleast we had solace in our girls who have always been working very hard with Griffin Sayenda to put our poor Malawi on the map but now you have put our girls on the list of failures like failed economy, kukwela kwa mafuta, kukwela kwa misonkho ku Road Traffic, kukwera kwa passports, kuletsa allowance mu boma yet you give them peanuts as salary. When shall Malawi smile????
