According to latest rankings released by International Netball Federation, Malawi Queens is till ranked number one in Africa as they head out to the August Wolrd Netball Cup in New Zealand.

But the General Secretary Carol Bapu said despite Malawi’s poor performance in recent times the competitions were not used for ranking.

“Some of the competitions are not for rankings for example the Fast Series,” Bapu said.

“So this is not surprising that we are still number one in Africa and five in the world. But of course that is not excuse for not doing well in such competitions. We still have to do better,” she said.

World Champions Autsralia lead the world stage followed by New Zealand on second position, England third and Jamaica fourth as the top four proves to be a preserve for these teams.

Malawi’s fierce rivals South Africa have maintained their sixth position in the world but are second to in Africa completing the Africa presence in the top 10 for the world of the 36 ranked teams.

The rankings took into account international test matches played between February 15 and there are no changes to the positions in the top 10.

NAM do not dare to include Mwayi. She is very rude. She feels she is bigger than the national team that opened her eyes that those of the international teams who have put her on board. This is the world. One day she will need your support. Ukakwera m’tengo osamati pansi palibe mame. Umadziwa kuti pali mame utagwa chifukwa cha mavu.Ungadzindikire chotani sunganyoze amene wakuzindikiritsa. Tidzaonana. Enough is enough. Mwayi no Mwai. The Queens still on number five, standards of play also matters.

Netball is a very cheap game. We don’t perform in real sport disciplines that require skill and intelligence. Am not proud of these so called queens. Mpira wa manja palibe angakanike bola khama. Timachita bwino coz other countries are not interested in netball. Did you know that Netball is not yet listed as an Olympic sport? Why, it is very cheap to call it a sport. No wonder we are on no.5 in the world. Ine ndikapita kukawonera netball ndimakangoonako miyendo ndi ntchafu basi. Osati kukawonera luso lina lilironse. Please NAM do not stick to your guns that Mwai Kumwenda was to the wrong. This is a wrong conflict management style. Let the Malawi Queens come back to win future game. Otherwise you will be fired!
