Malawi Queens star weds long-term partner
Malawi Queens goal keeper Towera Vinkhumbo wedded her long time partner Masautso Edwin Nyirenda on Saturday in a colourful ceremony at St Columba CCAP Church in Manja township at exactly 7:30 am.
The wedding ceremony was attended by her fellow netball players like Mwawi Kumwenda, Joana Kachilika, Caroline Ngwira and Tigresses coach Peace Kaluwa.
The couple made matrimonial vows to be together in marriage “till death do us apart”
Pastor Innocent Brave Chikopa, who blessed the marriage, advised the couple to lead by a good example, to tolerate each other whenever they have differed in their family.
“.It’s fantastic to be able to finally call Towera my wife”, said Nyirenda to Nyasa Times.
Towera has followed into the footsteps of other netballers who recently wedded like Jessica Mazengera Sanudi and Tina Kamzati.
The reception was held at St Columba Hall in the afternoon.
