Malawi U-20 to start preps for African Youth championship
The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has announced names of about 39 players to start camping on Monday March 24th, 2014 ahead of 2015 Under 20 African Youth Championship qualifying campaign.
The camping will take place at the Sports Council hostels in Blantyre.
The Junior Flames are expected to play Botswana on 5th April at the Kamuzu Stadium before travelling to Botswana for a return match on 25th April at the Mopolele Stadium.
According to a statement released by Fam and made available to Nyasa Times, the number of players will be reduced to 25 two days after they start camping.
The team will be headed by Flames legendary Ernest Chirwali Mtawali deputized by former Big Bullets coach Gerald Phiri.
Moyale Barracks coach Nicholus Mhango is the team Manager while former Silver Strikers goalkeeper and team manager will be the goalkeepers trainer.
Dr. Andrew Mataya will be the team doctor.
