Malawi VP’s wife asks women to seek medical help when expectant

Mrs Martha Kachali, wife to the Vice President Khumbo Kachali has encouraged women across the country to seek professional medical services whenever they are expectant.

She was speaking after cheering 110 expectant mothers and newly born babies at Mzimba district hospital.

The Vice Presidents wife said it was only through access to professional medical services that maternal deaths could be reduced.

“We all have hope that you will make it because you rushed here at the hospital. This is what we should be encouraging all our friends in our communities to reduce the risk of loosing mothers and children,” said Mrs Kachali.
