Malawi womens soccer team in swim or sink tie against Madagascar

Malawi Womens National Football Team need to raise their tempo and play out of their skin if they are to revive their fading hopes of progressing to the next stage at the ongoing Cosafa Womens Championship underway in Zimbabwe.

This follows their 6-3 defeat they suffered in the hands of neighbours Zambia in their opening Group A match on Wednesday.

Malawi will face Madagascar who also lost their opening match 4-0 to hosts Zimbabwe in a must win match in an early kick off on Friday.

The Stewart Mbolembole led side  will bank their hopes on Swedish based Striker Tabitha Chawinga who scored a hat trick in their game against Zambia.

The match will start at 8:30 GMT (10:30am local time).

According to the rules of the competition, only number one teams from each pool will progress to the finals.

The next match on Friday will be between Zimbabwe and Zambia while South Africa will take on Namibia.
