Malawian in Face of Africa UK contest
Malawian girl is among contestants of the Face of Africa UK pageant to take place in Nottingham, England on Saturday Novermber 26.
Organisers of the event, renowned Dj Cosmos confirmed that among the African girls contesting, there is a Malawian student based in Manchester City.
Nyasa Times understands that the Malawian is Shallomy Kubwalo.
Organisers said the Face of Africa UK pageant has attracted girls from all over UK mostly university students, saying they had received hundreds of applications from aspirants .
The beauty pageant will be held at Nottingham Arts Theatre, George Street – Post Code NG1 3BE from 7PM.
Apart from the contest for the Face of Africa title, organisers said there will also “entertainment from upcoming talents in singing and dancing.”
“As Face of Africa UK focuses on African talents, we are still welcoming anyone who is looking into promoting their music/acts on our show,” said the organisers.
Fun seekers will proceed to an after party till 3am at Escucha Bar (22 Fletcher Gate, Nottingham, NG1 2FZ ) which is a few minutes’ walk from the Nottingham Arts Theatre.
Advance tickets (Phone booking 0115 9476096) are £22.50 and this admits one into the after party. The after party ticket on the door will be £30.
