Malawian killed by train was pushed onto by Xenophobia S.Africans: Identified

Malawian man aged 23 who reported to have committed train suiceide was actually pushed onto the front of a train and was killed in Durban, South Africa, Nyasa Times has established.

The action was part of the anti-migrant attacks in South Africa. The xenophobians fled.

South Africa’s newspaper, Daily Sun, had reported on Wednesday that the man threw himself in front of a moving train after hearing that he will be taken back to impoverished Malawi.

But other eye witnesses told Nyasa Times that the man who has been identified as Felix Kandulu was pushed to be killed.

Hundreds of shocked commuters at Westcliff Train Station, outside Chatsworth could only watch in horror as the wheels of steel sliced his body into pieces, reported the Daily Sun.

The Malawian had been housed along with 2 000 other foreigners at Chatsworth displacement camp.

According to Police spokesman Major Thulani Zwane, the Malawia was declared dead at the scene after he was badly hurt.
