Malunga now wants to challenge Chamangwana on Wanderers club hot seat
Flamboyant Mighty Be Forward Wanderers fan Yona Malunga has declared his interest to challenge Chairman George Chamangwana during Saturday’s executive committee elections at Lali-Lubani road in Blantyre after withdrawing in the supporters’ race.
Malunga withdrew from supporters committee elections following popular support of Yamikani Kaliyapa but he has told Nyasa Times that he has focused his attention to compete on the Nomads hot seat against Chamangwana.
“I am challenging George on that seat since nobody is willing to contest against him. Come Saturday l will unseat him on that position,”said Malunga.
He however, was quick to congratulate Kaliyapa and urged to work with him during his tenure of office.
“My door is open if he will need any advise. I am not bitter that he was declared a winner because at the end of everything we are all Nomads and one family,”said Malunga.
He also asked his fans to forget what happen on Saturday and focus ahead for the good of the team.
“This is sports not war. People should understand that we need competition in any elections. Some people regard me as a confusionist but let me assure you that l love Wanderers so much,” said Malunga.
