Malawi Police Services in Mchinji have arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of having sex with a goat and charged him with bestiality.

Police spokesperson in Mchinji Lubrino Kaitano said Kennedy Kambani was spotted by the owner of the flock of his goats which were grazing in a piece of land.

“The owner of the goats, Mr Pemphero Mwakhulika thought Kambani was stealing the goats so he alerted the people. When the people arrived at the scene, they were shocked to see him  having sexual intercourse with the goat,” said Kaitano.

He said Kambani was apprehended and brought to police where he was charged with the offence of bestiality.

The man allegedly said that he had sought the animal’s permission first  to have sexual intercourse with it.

  6. Mr Inspector General of Police, you are quick to investigate and effect an arrest on a silly crime perpetrated by a village idiot. Why can’t you quickly investigate and arrest the evil criminals who have murdered Yassin Kwenda Phiri in Nkhata Bay? Those are the type of crimes that you should dedicate your time and effort on.

    1. You’re a fool! Are the two crimes related? After all Nkhata Bay police are investigating the crime committed in Nkhata Bay. Are you insinuating that all other crimes should not be investigated to allow the whole police service unfettered time to investigate only one crime?
