Masamba beat Muriri on unanimous points
Wilson “Shasha” Masamba on Sunday proved himself as undisputed beating Zimbabwean boxer Richard Muriri on unanimous points at M1 Centre Point in Lilongwe.
The eight round non-title bout was organized by Glassasi Boxing Promotion in association with Malawi Boxing Association (MABA). It was sponsored by Glassasi building and civil engineering contractors.
Most of the people on Sunday afternoon were behind the Malawi Defense Force (MDF) based boxer Wilson Masamba as he exchanged heavy punches with Richard Muriri.
After eight rounds of entertainment at M1 centre point, Masamba was crowed the champion of the day beating Richard muriri on unanimous points from the judges.
“I am very happy to win this fight. I also want to thank all my fans for supporting me by coming in their large numbers,” Masamba said.
He thanked MABA for organizing the fight and his bosses from Malawi MDF for supporting him to prepare for the fight including his promoter John Msamba.
In earlier supporting bouts; Tinashe Madziwana of Zimbabwe beat Jobson Adam from Malawi; Chimwemwe Chiotcha beat Juma jack; Abdul Chitepete beat Charles Mchombo and Charity Chiwa beat Fatima Mdeka.
