Maskal live at Mibawa Café : Celebrating Martyrs
As Malawi commemorates Martyrs Day March 3, the country’s Afro R&B artist Maskal, has organized what he has dubbed a “Heroes Night” concert to honor the political heroes who gave their lives in the struggle against colonialism.

The concert is slated for the home of live music in the commercial city Blantyre, Mibawa Café opposite Ryalls Hotel.
“It’s a special concert organized to kick start the commemorations as we remember our fallen heroes,” said the artist’s public relations manager Kimpho Loka.
He said they decided to put the show tonight because tomorrow, Tuesday, will be a public holiday.
“People should be able to come in large numbers and spend a night out knowing that they are not working on Tuesday,” he explained.
Maskal is expected to perform most of the tracks from his two albums “Nthawi” and “Umunthu” as well as his recent releases “The Way You Are” and “Ona”.
Loka added: “This is one show one can’t afford to miss. It really could be the best music concert to attend so far in Blantyre”.
The show is scheduled to start at 8:00pm and is pegged at K2,000 per head.
