MBC TV’s Siyabu killed in car crash

One of MBC employees, video editor Ken Siyabu was killed in a car crash early Wednesday morning in Lilongwe.

His car was found wrecked along the road between the famous Area 47’s Bwandilo and 18 Roundabout.

Siyabu was one the popular video producers. He produced many of Lucius Banda’s music and other artists’ music videos including documentaries.

He was popularly known as “Seven Years Siyabu”.

Siyabu: Dies

Spokesperson for Lilongwe Police Kingsley Dandaula said the police were looking into all the factors of the accident.

Thomas Chafunya who worked with Siyabu at MBC took it on Facebook to offer tribute after learning the about the tragic death.

His body was moved from the Kamuzu Central Hospital morgue to his home in Area 25 in the afternoon. The remains will be transported to Kachipande or Kachipanda trading, soon after Bilila, Ntcheu where he will be laid to rest on Friday.
