MCP accuses police of stalling investigations into ‘regime thugs’ who attacked Chakwera’s house

Main opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has accused the police of stalling investigations investigations into thugs who went to the residence of party president Lazarus Chakwera three weeks ago in Lilongwe.

Mkaka: Surprising

Party second secretary general Eisenhower Mkaka said the police stopped updating the party on the progress of the investigations of the armed men.

“This is surprising us, maybe the police know something but this is a matter of great concern to us, the security of our president is not guaranteed,” said Mkaka.

He however said party followers should not get worried as the party has beefed up security at the Area 9 residence of Chakwera.

Police spokesperson James Kadadzera said the police are still investigating the matter.

He said some investigations take long before they are concluded and has asked the MCP officials to be patient.

Mr Mkaka Malawi Police is full of professional people . The problem of having small boys -ex Bank Tellers like Mkaka to be in the fore front of my MCP . This boy is an amateur in politics together with Rev Chakwera are messing up MCP . 2019 it will be an uphill for us to defeat crooked DPP .

chingaipe chiipe kumene chopanda bongo ichi!!! look at you, you don’t have anything to contribute in this land, that’s why D.P.P doesn’t see the youth in the party to take over some positions since you are like this.

Our Police have no skills of investigations. They also don’t have Forensic Tools besides lack of skill.
How then do you expect the same Police who failed to catch the Bandits that had broken Atupele Muluzi’s and Saulos Chilima’s residences?
Rather forget and you have done well to beef up your own security provided it is registered. Thus good self help.
