Ruling  Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), final whistle stop tours were led by Minister of Transport and Public Works , Jappie Mhango and the DPP secretary general Grezelder Jeffrey  while Malawi Congress Party  (MCP) final whistle stop tours were led by its President Dr Lazarus Chakwera.

All parties had single message of pleading with voters to vote for their respective candidates.

Meanwhile, one MCP woman a chairlady from Kauma was left injured when another overzealous DPP woman stoned one of the vehicle travelling on the Chakwera motorcade  at Grittahs Camp.

Scores of DPP cadets were seen throwing empty bottled water to Chakwera motorcase.

Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has SINCE warned that it is a violation of  electoral laws to campaign outside this period and all those found  will face the due process of law.

“Candidates and their supporters or agents will not be allowed to campaign or drive around hooting or with loud speakers playing  campaign songs or any messages after the deadline.,” reads the statement in part.

Mr Jamax, the M.C.P if it is the party what you are advising here, let me congratulate you. but take it and know that M.C.P has never ever worried with anything in all Elections, M.C.P with or without your advise, it will remain calm in all what you call violence, am sure you know what am talking about. what i can ask you to continue do is to pray that these constituencies should choose the right candidate who will be there for them.

Eeeeeish! Koma DPP sidzatheka. Moyo wa nkhondo munayameila kuti?
My prayer is that God must repay DPP according to their violent acts , and God must abort and bring bare every sinister act schemed to rob the elections, and let disgrace be their cloth henceforth.
