Officials from Malawi Electoral Commission (Mec) were today at parliament building to hand over electoral materials used during the  December 15 by-elections.

MEC  commissioner Jean Mathanga handed over the material

Mec Commissioner Jean Mathanga said the pollster has deposited all electoral materials to the Deputy clerk of Parliament.

Mathanga said the materials are to be kept for a year by Parliament before they are destroyed.

She has pleaded with Parliament to keep such materials safe until the expiry of the 12 months.
