Mgangira out as Silver Strikers head coach

Silver Strikers Football Club has announced that it has mutually agreed to part ways with head coach Peter Mgangira, with immediate effect.

In a statement, the club said the decision followed the team’s performance to date, and was reached amicably between the club and Mgangira.

“The decision was reached amicably and by mutual agreement between the Club and Mr Mgangira. The Club places on record its appreciation for his professionalism and service during his time with Silver Strikers Football Club,” the statement read.

The club thanked  Mgangira for his contribution and wished him success in his future professional endeavours.

The club’s board and management said they remained committed to ensuring continuity in football operations, and would put in place appropriate technical arrangements to help the team regain its competitive momentum.

No timeframe has been given for the appointment of a successor.

Silver Strikers, one of Malawi’s most decorated clubs, will continue preparations for their next fixture under interim arrangements while the search for a new head coach gets under way.
