Mibawa band member killed in road accident, some injured
A member of Mibawa 1 Band Tonia Phiri has died in a car crash involving the band’s group bus which happened on Sunday in Mwanza en route to Mozambique.
Another member of the band grouo Jackson Kamlanje was seriously injured and was reported to be Intensive Care Unit at Mwaiwathu a private hospital in Blantyre
Other people in the car who required medical attention included lead vocalist Eunice Kadzuwa Mhango , as she is pregnant and is being observed closely.
Mibawa Cafe owner John Nthakomwa explained that the back tyres of the bus got burst shortly after passing through Nkula turn off and the bus overturned
Meanwhile, Nthakomwa said all shows in Tete, Mozambique have been cancelled.
