Mighty crush BB in Blantyre derby
Wanderers midfield workhorse guided the blues to a rousing 2-1 win after scoring a brace.
Msasa first scored in the first half before Bullets equalised.
But Msasa scored again late in the game through a long range shot to silence the Bullets. After the goal you could hear a drop of a pin in the stands of the ‘People’s Team’.
Wanderers supporters on the other hand erupted in ecstasy.
Nomads finished 10 players after Francis Mlimbika was shown a red card.
“It is always nice to win against Bullets. Today was another special day,” said Mighty coach Franco Ndawa.
His counterpart Gilbert Chirwa said “it was not our day.”—(Reporting by Jeromy Kadewere, Nyasa Times)
