One of the favourite contestants for the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) presidential polls Wilkins Mijiga is set to launch his manifesto at the Lilongwe Golf club in Lilongwe Thursday evening.
Spokesperson of Mijiga Ernest Maganga said all is set for the launch.
“We are ready to launch the manifesto which contains a blue print on how football should be run in the country. If you go through the manifesto you will agree with me that Mijiga is the right man to take our football forward,” said Maganga.
“The essence of our mission is to reform and transform Malawi football into a vibrant viable industry that generates tangible and real wealth for stakeholders in the football value chain.”
“We want to create lucrative jobs and career opportunities for players, coaches, referees, administrators, affiliates and managers whilst creating value for money for sponsors and fans,” explained Maganga of the Mijiga vision.
He also said Mijiga has proved to be a resourceful person for football funding citing his involvement in securing the first every FAM Cup in 2005 with fellow young professionals who secured funding from Press Trust.
Mijiga faces outgoing FAM president Walter Nyamilandu and Karonga United owner who is based in Canada Willy Yabwanya Phiri in the FAM presidential race slated for December 12 in Mangochi.Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
