Ministry of Health PS Mwansambo honoured by American Academy

Ministry of Health principal secretary Dr. Charles Mwansambo has been recognised in the United States of America for his outstanding contribution in health.

The American Academy of Pediatrics has given Mwansambo an award for his outstanding contribution to the field of global health.

Mwansambo has been awarded Hillman Olness Award along with a US based medical doctor, Professor Charles Schubert at an event that took place in Anaheim California USA.

Mwansambo has expressed his gratitude for being recognized as a lifetime service provider and lasting contributor to global child health.

Hillman Olness Award was established in 2011 in honour of the late Liz Hillman, the late Donald Hillman, and Karen Olness.

The award recognises individuals who have devoted their careers to advancing global child health.

Mwansambo, apart from being PS for ministry of Health also treats patients at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe.
