The decesead who was coming from Kapenuka village Traditional Authority (T/A) Kamenyagwaza in Dedza went on missing on April 30 this year.

According to the son of the deceased Isaac Bottomani on the said date his father went to work on a night shift but he did not came back tohis home in the morning.

Isaac said at first they did not complain since the deceased was married to two wifes and sometimes he used to spent time to his with
the new family.

“After three days a certain woman came to our home and told us that our father has been absent at work for the said days. We went there to ask his fellow guard who told us that they last meet on May 1 2017 during morning hours. We took the matter to police where they assuredus that they will help searching for him. Since then we have been searching in Nchalo, Chileka and other areas but we failed to find him untill today when we recieved this sad news,” said Bottomani.

Hundrends of people who came at the scene were in disbelieve mood as others failed to hold themselves as they were shading tears.

It has been revealed that the decesead was killed by his fellow guard who is currently in police bar for being found stealing poridge floor at the school.

According to Group Village Chilobwe told Nyasa Times at the scene that before the suspect was arrested he quarelled with the deceased who accused him because of his bad behaviour.

“The suspect has not been in good terms with the deceased and few days after the deceased went on missing he planted a tree at one of the pit latrine behind the building which was used as kitchen.

“The suspect told women who prepares poridge at Naotcha school to make sure that
they are watering the tree which they were doing each and evey day.

“But after some weeks after he was arrested the women started suspecting the place reported the issue to school management who
tipped the police,” said GV Chilobwe.

When police went at the place they found the body of the deceased remaining with bones only.

GV Chilobwe expressed concerned over the incident and asked members of the communities to stop such inhuman act.

He added that very soon they will start going by door together with the police and councilors to see if they have criminals in the area and if found they will be chased out of the area.

Chilobwe police refused to comment on the matter saying they are waiting to receive a postmoterm report for the bones from hospital.
