He made the remarks when Deputy Mayor Kari Agerup from the Norwegian City of Fredrik tad visited the area.

Bikoko appealed through the delegation that Norway should open more aid taps for Malawi which should trickle at the school.

“Your Worship Madam Agerup, as you can see this school, it is one of the most beautiful schools in Malawi and without fear of contradiction this is most beautiful school in Malawi, which needs state of the art computer lab, since currently there is only one working computer at the school,” said Bikoko.

Bikoko, who is also supporting the school with his personal funds generated from his businesses, said he has a dream to see future scientists, Members of Parliaments, and doctors coming from the school.

In her response, Agerup commended Mkwichi community for the effort they are doing in uplifting standards of education in the country.

The mayor said Norway will continue assisting the education sector saying good education determines future of the coming generation.

Mkwichi Primary school is a community driven initiative built on plot number A/47/4 /910.

The school was built to help poor families who were then chased at Chigoneka Primary School after the school started to be run as business by the Nkhoma C.C.A.P. Church.

The school was opened for learning on 16 January, 2014.

Before speeches, the Mayor led in a tree planting exercise around the school.
