M’mangisa ‘forcibly’ resigns as Silver board chair

Silver Strikers Board Chairman Kelvin M’mangisa on Wednesday finally resigned from his position after a long spell amid heated calls from the club executive supporters committee.

M’mangisa: Quits

M’mangisa confirmed to have communicated to the Reserve Bank Governor (RBM)-who are the sole sponsors of the club.

“I have told the Governor that I have stepped aside because people are accusing me of bringing confusion” said  M’mangisa.

His decision has since delighted the supporters.

However, the supporters top brass has commended M’mangisa for his dedication as well as all the good things he brought to the club during his tenure of office.

On the other hand, the supporters accuse M’mangisa over having more powers and intruding in other people’s duties and responsibilities at the club including technical matters having been the longest serving member.

Meanwhile, Silver Strikers Football Club is yet to start its preparations for the forthcoming 2019 season.

Other big clubs including Nyasa Big Bullets, Blue Eagles FC and Mzuni FC already started their pre-season preparations
